    How to run this

    • Two sessions of 10 minutes beats one of 30. Every day matters more than how long.
    • Never write down dots and dashes. Write the letter or nothing.
    • Miss one? Let it go and stay with the next character. Chasing a miss costs you the next three.
    • Leave character speed at 18 wpm or higher. Speed up the gaps, never the characters.

    How this works

1Never count dots. Characters are always sent fast so you learn each one as a single sound. The gaps between them are what make it slow enough to follow.
2Every lesson runs in three steps. First you just listen to the new sound. Then you name one character at a time and it tells you the answer every time. Only then do you copy groups of five.
3Type or tap. Use your keyboard, or the on-screen keys — whichever is in front of you. Space replays, Esc stops.
4Never guess. If a sound will not come back to you, tap it in Hear any character below the practice box. Looking it up teaches you something; guessing teaches you nothing.
5Ten minutes, twice a day. Beats one long session every time. Come back tomorrow and the day after.
Your callsign — optional Drops your own call into the practice contacts and the callsign drill. You can add it any time under the gear — and you do not need a licence to learn the code.
Too fast? Tap Crawl in the speed bar at the top. Too slow? Tap Steady. Everything else lives under the gear.
